Tamborine Mountain Distillery and the Australian Vodka Company:
Big Winners at the Food Challenge Awards 2008 in Sydney

Wednesday, 23rd July at Darling Harbour brought yet another fantastic result for Tamborine Mountain Distillery and the Australian Vodka Company. We scooped the pool by winning two major awards in the Alcoholic Beverages category - the only finalists to be multiple winners.

The Australian Herbal Liqueur took out the major prize, and the Moulin Rooz Absinthe was Highly Commended. The awards are keenly contested by both industry heavyweights and individual players, so it is a source of great pride that Tamborine Mountain Distillery, as a small, family-owned business has once again triumphed against all-comers - by virtue of our continuing emphasis on uniqueness and quality of the products we make.

TMD head honcho Michael Ward, along with the ever-hardworking Cellar Door whiz Anne Rutter were on hand to accept the awards. Michael had the audience enthralled with his effervescent acceptance speeches: it put a genuine, individual and highly entertaining stamp on a memorable night!
